A Heartfelt Oakbrook Farm Wedding | Claudia & Mason
This Oakbrook Farm wedding was the perfect blend of rustic charm, intentional details, and deep-rooted love for family and faith. As a Columbia SC wedding planner, it is always such a joy to walk alongside couples who care deeply about creating a meaningful experience—not just for themselves, but for everyone on their wedding day. Claudia and Mason’s celebration was exactly that.

A Love Story Built on Friendship and Faith
Claudia and Mason’s story began at college orientation—one of those seemingly ordinary moments that turned into something extraordinary. They dated throughout college, building a relationship grounded in shared values, commitment, and faith.
Today, Claudia serves as a sales representative for Ferguson, while Mason follows in his father’s footsteps as a police officer. Their lives reflect dedication, service, and a love of community—qualities beautifully woven throughout their wedding day.
When it came time to choose their venue, Oakbrook Farm felt like the perfect fit. As a working horse farm with authentic rustic elements, it reflected their personalities so naturally—they are country through and through.
A Calm and Joyful Fall Morning
The day began on a beautiful South Carolina fall morning, filled with sunshine and cool, crisp temperatures. While there was the natural excitement and movement of a wedding day, there was also a noticeable calm—a steady, peaceful presence that carried throughout the entire celebration.
From the very beginning, every detail was handled with intention. As a Columbia SC wedding planner, one of my top priorities is creating an environment where couples and their families can feel at ease knowing their day will be handled with grace, and Claudia and Mason fully embraced that experience.
Space to Be Fully Present
One of the most meaningful parts of the morning was how unhurried everything felt. Claudia, Mason, and their families were able to truly be present—not rushing from moment to moment, but fully stepping into each one as it came.
Before the ceremony, Claudia and Mason shared a quiet first touch, exchanging personal vows in a private, sacred moment. It was intimate, emotional, and such a beautiful reminder that the heart of the day isn’t the timeline—it’s the promises being made.
Claudia also shared incredibly special first looks—not only with her own dad, but with Mason’s dad as well. That moment spoke so deeply to the closeness of their families and the unity being formed. There was so much love, pride, and emotion wrapped into those few minutes.
Mason also spent time with his parents as they helped him with the finishing touches of getting ready. These simple, often overlooked moments became some of the most meaningful—quietly honoring the relationships that helped shape him into who he is today.
This is exactly why I am so intentional about creating timelines that allow space. Because when a day is structured with care, it gives room for moments like these—the ones that can’t be recreated, and will be remembered forever.

Meaningful Details That Honored Family
One of the most special aspects of this Oakbrook Farm wedding was how deeply it honored family history.
Claudia carried pieces of her legacy with her throughout the day:
A table lovingly crafted by her late grandfather for the memory display
Another table lovingly crafted by her parents in the weeks leading up to the wedding to serve as the Sweetheart table for her and Mason
Handmade monogrammed handkerchiefs created by her grandmother using fabric from her mother’s wedding gown for Claudia and her bridesmaids
Her mother’s wedding gown, beautifully transformed into her reception dress
These details weren’t just beautiful—they were deeply meaningful, creating a sense of connection across generations.
Another touching moment came when Claudia chose to dedicate her bouquet to her mother instead of doing a traditional toss. With a heartfelt speech, she honored the woman who had walked beside her through every season of life.

A Ceremony Rooted in Love and Intentionality
Set against the natural beauty of Oakbrook Farm, their ceremony felt both sacred and personal. The color palette—sage green, vibrant orange, and soft gold accents—perfectly captured the warmth of the season while maintaining a timeless elegance.
Claudia looked stunning in her strapless, off-the-shoulder gown, complete with a dramatic cathedral-length veil that flowed beautifully in the autumn breeze. Mason and his groomsmen wore tan suits with sage green ties, complementing the bridesmaids’ sage green dresses in varying styles.
Even with a particularly windy day, our team worked carefully behind the scenes to adjust design elements and ensure everything remained seamless. These are the moments where thoughtful coordination truly matters—anticipating challenges and handling them with calm and grace.

A Celebration Full of Joy and Connection
As the day transitioned into the reception, the joy only grew stronger. One of the most memorable moments was during the mother-son dance, when Mason and his mom surprised everyone by turning it into a full dance party—inviting the entire wedding party to join in. It was unexpected, joyful, and completely unforgettable.
Another thing that stood out was the number of honorary attendants included in the celebration, in addition to the large bridal party. Claudia and Mason were incredibly intentional about honoring the people who had impacted their lives. It was such a beautiful reflection of their hearts and their commitment to community.
And of course, the photo booth was full all night long. Seeing guests laugh, celebrate, and create memories together is always one of my favorite parts of the reception. It added such a fun, interactive element to an already joy-filled evening.
